8 string Root 2017

8 nylon string Root. Tuned DADG. This is the one that was on the front cover of the Lee Valley cover. Well just the body. I was not happy with the sound for a regular Root. I normally use spruce for the top, but on this one I used Redwood which has a warmer sound. So I made a new neck (put the old one on a new Root), set it up for 8 strings and used a set of oud/nylon strings on it to test things out. I love it ! It sounds so beautiful. Sometimes it takes the right combination.
